About Us

Fresh out of college and expecting our first baby, we started Taft out of our little 2-bedroom apartment. The original idea came while we were backpacking through Europe weeks before. Walking down the steps of Sacre Coeur, on our way to get our nutella and coconut crepes, I wondered why nobody was making great no-show socks for men. What started with something intentionally niche and unique - our signature no-show socks - has grown into much more.

In order to succeed as a small brand, our products have to be different. We design and produce products that you won't find anywhere else. We don’t look like most companies, but that is something that we have embraced. Taft is a company built from a lot of love and grit. We hit the ground running in 2014 and we haven't had the time to look back.

All Taft shoes are design to match standard US dress shoe sizes. However, to ensure the perfect fit, please make sure:

All our shoes are standard D width. If you have wide feet, please select next size up.

If you wear in-between sizes, please size down for Taft boots and shoes.

In general, our shoes run slightly big. We suggest you size down if you are between sizes.
